It’s probably a long story, but I make a lot of bowls.  And, as a result, I use a lot of my own bowls in my kitchen and dining room – we’ll call it “product testing and development”.  I have really come to enjoy the “foot ring” on the bottom of the bowl.  This is not a feature often found in commercial ware, but you might be surprised how useful it is and how it contributes to a more personal eating experience.  Try it for yourself and see.  You really can’t go wrong with this rich iron red bowl full of black and hints of gold.  Approximately five inches wide and four inches tall.
