Sure, a wood firing is a lot of work.  And, it’s a lot of risk.  A LOT of risk!!  But, when it all comes together it is a beautiful thing.  The flashing and ash-accumulation on this bottle show the direction and intensity of the flame in the kiln.  The Shino glaze popped nicely with the ash accumulation near the shoulder, and blushed quietly on the lee side of the flame.  Approximately six inches tall.
